Here's another one for you knowledgible IT buffs.
When first got IPhone i used to film vids with phone/camera in portrait position, (phone held upright) til i learnt thats why my vids came out sidewards. Bloody stupid idea Apple!!!
just been checkin out a few of them and it is so anouying watching them like that, yes Todd i could turn lappy on its side or lie down to watch (just thought id beat you to that one buddy lol)
My Q is there any way i can rotate the vids to watch normaly like you can do with pics ??????

yes you can rotate vids Pete once they are on you putter
All movie maker programs should let you rotate the vid.
Or you could just turn your lappy on its side as you have suggested *LMAO*

Hey mate - the short answer is it is a quirk of Apple devices. Long answer is because the iPhone, iPad, etc store rotational information in the vid which something like QuickTime can decipher, however things like Windows Media Player cannot. You can edit in Windows Movie Maker as follows:
1.Import the video clip into Windows Movie Maker.
2.Drag the imported video clip and drop it onto the timeline.
3.On the Tools menu, click Video Effects.
4.To rotate the video clip to the right, drag the Rotate 90 video effect and drop it onto the movie on the timeline.
Or to rotate the video clip to the left, drag the Rotate 270 video effect and drop it onto the movie on the timeline.
5.On the File menu, click Save Movie File and follow the instructions in the Save Movie Wizard.

Mine is like Jas's.. my pc won't recognize the HTC one xl. I can't sync or transfer songs to the phone. I've read replies like just use drop box but dam that's like 3 months of my data usage to do that... Lol
