Besides the Bundy rum and Bundy brewed drinks tours we also went to the Bert Hinkler museum which was a great little museum if you're into that kind of stuff.

There was a heap of educational videos, interactive flights, sit in replicas and other stuff.
The main attraction was the actual Avro baby which he flew Sydney to bundaberg
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1348267495.306050.jpg
There is also a replica which you can sit in with controls. Amazing how simple these thing were.

The glider which he built when he was 19 and flew off Bundy beach. The cockpit was his mothers ironing board...haha
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1348267621.546046.jpg

It was a top place to learn about a great Australian from Bundaberg

    Few of his other planes

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1348267724.384885.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1348267751.708082.jpg

Ps. Forget the Bundy brewed drinks factory. Waste of time and money

    thanks for the updates!!

Is it possible to plumb in an extended drain terminating with a tap, to drain the filter, leaving the main drain tap on?

there would be a risk of it falling off and causing a drama, so maybe only temp, for highway use and of course only if it can be adequately secured?

Yeah possibly could do something along those lines.

But I think I will fit a water watch system as per my mates advise.
    Apparently great bit of gear

thanks, looks interesting. Vital to protect those high pressure components in CRD systems, I gather.

A bit different to the old fashioned carby TB42 - add a bit of methanol or ethanol to keep small amounts of water mixed in with the fuel and flowing through the filters. Only works with smallish amounts of water. I have long thought about installing a water trap/filter on Silver. Also, something on the tinny, but the tinny is 2 stroke. Apparently there are elements especially for 2 strokes to allow the oil through.

Oops, if that is a hijack, sorry!

That Bundy shop is clever clever marketing. Bundy was not one of my vices until I went there, and had that liquer, maybe over icecream. Yummo, and the door was opened to the distinctive flavour of the other drinks. Hooked :-)

Those are great underwater photos - to save me going back through the pages, you were using a DSLR and an underwater housing? You have produced some great piccies.

yeah got some of that liquer and yes it is very nice.

All the photos are from the iPhone except the underwater which I took with a Nikon aw-100 waterproof camera. I love it.

We arrived in Harvey bay this morning just in time for the offshore superboat championships... Woohoo

    These boats are mad!!!!!!!!!
