At the risk of sounding dumb how about cutting off the excess stud below the protection of the bracket. Of course the whole assembly is still quite low, what we need is a spring over conversion and 6 inch coils on the front or maybe portals....

    mmm portals...... drooling now

    Cheers, Errol

Sounds awsome, but better organise a divorce lawyer when ordering the bits!!!!

Thought of cutting it off but when trying to get the nut on there is not much thread exposed through the bush.

That bit with the flat sides for the spanner can go though.

You only need a nut of thread showing. Have you bent them before or is it another brand?
I'd be more worried of breaking the controll knob off the shockers
can you fabricate some shields to protect them some how
WOW thats some spring pack, is it Mine spec or do you have heaps of weight with the pod???

Same brand, that is a new one that was in the shed as a spare. Never even scratched the control knob they seem to stay out of the way.
When new the bush is so thick it took some effort to get the nut started, after some use it probably wont be a problem untill replacement time.
Wieghed the ute loaded for an outback trip with 8 gerrys full of fuel / water etc then gave the axle wieghts to a spring mob and said design a system around that.
It sits nice and handles just as well. Have a speed bump in our village here 50kph speed limit smooth as, empty or full. Very well matched package I ended up with.
    Cheers

Sounds all good then, mate had one of those Carry on, pods on his coil tipper ute, pod weighed 800kg. Set it up for a Cape trip but all went pear shaped when rear Koni destroyed themselves {brand new} on the way up.
Only got to Musgrove, not a happy camper I can tell you. but all got sorted and he was on his way again in no time, Sold ute as soon as he got home,
IMO think pods are more suited to leaf rear cab/chassis

You could throw a second nut on there if your concerned or possibly some sort of nut like a wheel nut. You could also throw soem decen rubber hose over the expose thread to help prevent if you do this throw some silicone on it as well to prevent water and dirt getting in.
