I just had my Crank seal Replaced. The Pully Gear was seized. Used about 2 cans of WD40 to get it off and big hammer....... well broke the plate behind...of course that wasnt a good idea. should have read the POST to heat it up. My mechanic had no idea...... Cost me another $160 to replace the crank gear.
after all that put it all back together total $660 2 hours of driving it was pissing down with OIL again. Back to the workshop to strip it down again.
it turns out the bashing left a grove and some bur around the seal which tore the Seal on the way back in...... Look at the bright side at least the pully wasnt seized that time around.....
Write this down 1000 times "I must find a new mechanic" lol.
Cheers, the ferret.
