WARNING: TOWBALLS USED WITH SNATCHSTRAPS DO KILL!!
Gday mate, absolutely love this thread and your truck. I'll be keeping a close eye on this one for inspiration for my shorty too, go the shortys!!
I want to get a front bar setup like you have, just not to sure yet how much room I'll need for a winch since I'll be getting it made before I buy a winch.
Well decided I needed to get things a bit more organized in the back of the shorty so have started a set of draws.
Not sure if it was nessesery but I put 2 fans over the twin head air compressor to help it keep a bit cooler when running , they are on a seperate switch so I can leave them on for a minute or two after pumping up tyres.
Made my own slide runners.
Bit of wireing and lights.
I plan on putting a stainless steel water tank on the passinger side of the unit and a cargo barrier
in there as well.
Dam I gota get in and clean that shed up.![]()

very nice job there mate, can you come 2 Sydney and built me a set like that? Looks better than the ones selling in the 4wd shops
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
you have some very impressive skills man, the whole package looks the goods.
Wondering if you wrote down measurements for that front bar at all? mainly for the whinch crade and chassy mount bit as im going to tackle this myself soon.

Awesome job mate - quite seriously!!! They look dead set factory with the finish ... better than a lot of aftermarket dealers would do for sure.
Sorry mate didnt take down any notes at the time.Im a sheety so it was easy for me to cut and fold the chanels and plate.I have seen on here somewhere a guy using RHS for the mounts which if thick enough would be a good option.I used 5mm plate for the mounts and 4mm plate on the sides so where the recovery hooks are is 9mm thick.
Cheers Ray
