How have people run their wiring from inside their Patrols out to the front of their roof rack mounted Spotlights?
If you have any photo's how & where you've done it that would be fantastic.
Thanks in Advance for your advice.

Do you have a snorkle? Run the cables up the back and bridge them across to the lay in the roof gutter then up the leg of the light bracket or roof bar/rack. Or as i did, drill a hole in the roof and grommet it. If it ever needs to be removed, stick a blank grommet in the hole - depends on colour of vehicle as to how obvious, but mine is dark charcoal so do not stick out. Remember to do a good job on the rust treatment of the drilled hole as well. No pics, away from home at the moment.

Not suggesting to do this as I don’t run roof lights but have seen people run them down inside snorkel and into bonnet or run down snorkel under side hidden to avoid cutting into roof of body.

Thanks for the replies guys.....I was wondering if anyone has run the cable up & out of a door pillar (between front and back doors) and then around to the front of roof rack? Ive seen it done years ago on a police car to run the flashing lights on the roof.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I have run wiring up the inside of the passenger side pillar and mounted 2 small 30amp Anderson connector pairs on a plate that mounts behind the plastic using the bolt that holds the rear passenger seat overhead hand grip (trying not to put holes anywhere that are not absolutely necessary and want the wiring totally concealed). The mounting plate also mounts one end of a curtain bar I use to provide privacy when I camp in the back.
It was a bit of work getting the wiring in as I ended up having to pull out the front passenger seat so I could get the plastic covers off and the wiring safely tucked away so it didn't interfere with the seat belt in any way.
My connections are not permanent, hence the plug/socket concept. I just run the cable out above the door - there is plenty of space there so no damage to the cable and I don't get any water ingress.sockets.JPG[edit] Not sure why, but the pic has been rotated - the left side should be up.
