With an e-locker & the reduction gears will there be anywhere you can't go?!
:Yahoo!::Yahoo!::Yahoo!:Going in today.:Yahoo!::Yahoo!::Yahoo!:
I have a front elocker and 43% reduction gears, don't tell anyone you've got them (too late?), they'll look in wonder as you climb the unclimable, without the give away noise of an airlocker being turned on.
"How did you climb that hill so easily" they will ask, "Skill and ability" will be your reply ................. :D
On a serious note, my install resulted in diff oil getting past the grommet where the wires go into the diff and covering the underside of the diff and gearbox, messy. Had to be pulled out, hole redrilled and a new oversize grommet installed with appropriate sealant (not sure what), doesn't leak anymore (done at the installers expense)
welcome to a whole new style of driving, you'll be crawling everywhere with ease.
Plus now you can get stuck further than most others lol
Picked it up last night and had to try it out. All I had was about a 200m length of gravel at the back of the local footy oval.
Talk about return to centre steering. Fugk. Going for a weekend trip next week. Learning curve here I come.
My other 4x4 is sitting in the front yard with twin lockers.
Cant wait till the GU has some kind of Traction aid, Pit tooo!!
1800-2000 rmp keep the wheels on the high spots,
cant wait for your report lol
My other was petrol so it was 800-1200 rmp climb anything
Pedal to the metal CockO!!! Hit it hard
Very funny
All about wheel placement now, as suggested slow and easy
sounds boring but thats the price you pay for fitting a locker
Dont listen to 'em chubbs!
Those poor CV's, hope you know how to change them on the track! hahaha
You will enjoy no matter what.
First little run with the front e-locker.
I've found that with it locked and a small turn the wheels will not only return to centre (if not firmly controlled) but even go a little passed centre an turn the opposite way for a few metres then go back to centre. I don't know but maybe some kind of wind up release. With a firm hand it is controllable. With the rear locked as well it is even more pronounced.
Tell you more as I learn more.
Shoulda got a LoKKa nobby
Never had that problem :)

[QUOTE=Chubba;668326]That sounds like something someone WITHOUT a locker would say
Last 4x4 had a prolocker and an ARB locker in it . you'll see my troopy in some 4WD TV shoots idling up everything
in my 350 chev powered 4x4, so yes I do know what its like to have twin lockers, sorry
