Flexy getn drilled out to bolt to new marks flywheel... the slot need to be drilled out to 13mm...

Heat shield for the starter needs to be trimmed dwn to suit drivers side engine mount... you could probly take the whole shield off but i decided to trim mine dwn as the headers come pretty close to the starter...

OMG,,,,,,,,,what have you done with all the ZD 30 gear, My last 4x4 was a 75s troopy with a cast iron 350 chev, mild work done,, pretty loud
and combined with twin lockers idled up anything, It did feature on one 4wd TV episode, scared a lot of 4x4s too
After it settles down are you fitting long range tanks lol nah LS1 is your thing from what I know of you

Old bellhousing removed... such a gay job unbolting bellhousing bolts frm back of engine.. two 800mm extensions and a couply unis did the trick tho...

Front case removed.. cleaned up surfaces with carb cleaner then new gasket sealer for a good seal between gearbox face and new bellhousing face...

Iv budgeted 10k... should be pretty close but id say 12-13k max.. you could obviously save money and do things a bit cheaper but i just wanted to do it once and do it right the first time.. the ol saying.. poor man pays twice.. haha

It's a good looking build. Marks do a great kit hey. They have really thought it threw well..
I should have 300hp at the treads with a tune.. if anything brakes i can get spare parts pretty much anywhere in aus... 15l per hundred.. plenty of torque and plenty of reliable power upgrades.... if needs be dwn the track.. like heads and cam... no issue with water crossing etc... just look at all the comp trucks these days... engineer has been realy helpful and told me how to word my application so i dont have to get any emissions test done... hopefully get a bit more time to hook into it and finish it.. but pretty happy with my day and a halfs progress...

Just need to reroute fuel and brake lines to run ontop of the chassis instead of dwn the side.. install heat shield and then reroute diff breather lines on the other side then engine bay is pretty much done... and ready for its new heart..

Most people just use a 4.5 sender but il be modifying my zd30 sender to suit... the picture above is of the bulkhead fitting.. which will keep my fuel tnk sealed and alows me to run a single power feed wire to and frm my walbro pump instead of just drilling a hole and patchn up with silicone like most average joe blows do..

15-18l is the norm with the right tune... my l98 pulls 11 on the highway... but those figers can change depending on hw u drive.. what ratios u have.. and size of tyres etc...

Should see low teens on the highway. 15/100 would be pretty standard for normal driving. I get 12-13 out of my l98 normal driving, 10 on the highway. Add a few extra hundy kilo and that will use a bit more fuel.
Looks like it's a fairly simple conversion. Have been thinking about dropping an ls in my patrol.
Cnt wait to get it finishd.. just busy with wrk and other stuff and all my free time is spent with the kids and cleaning up aftr them... hopefully a early knock this friday and fingers crossd drop her in next weeknd... 2 weeks wait on my loom which is bit of a bummer...

Obviously alot cheaper for a stand alone harness but mine will be modded to suit my patrol n needs.. like plugs for my thermos... vats and tune... new wires to alternator and battery... extended loom to house computer in 2nd glove box.. all i need to do is plug it all back up.. hookup the positive terminal and negative terminal and hit the key... all dash will work as per normal including the engine light etc...
