Change the pair coz if you change just one all the load will fall on it and will shorten its life
nah matching on the axle is very important but front and back not so much
Thanks Daz...... Any recomendations without costing the earth?? dont need some superflex multi doda whop whop ones.
Get bielstein.......
what is on the Donor car?
Stock nissan ones Daz... not even close to an option.
Look into some options when I get 2 seconds??
What are those Rancho RS9000 adjusable shocks like?????
Had them on my D22 up front. They did what they are intended to do, that being a shock absorber. After them being installed for about 10k on the car, I started them on 3 as my optimum setting, I kept having to turn it up a notch every month or so, as they became way too soft. I got up to setting 7 at which point the car sold so... That was my experience.
I have a budget of about $250-$350 on average...... I sit on a 2inch lift with 1 inch spacers (dont say anything).
YOu should be able to get a pair of good quality units for $350 mate? Call ARB and find out the price on a pair of Nitro charger sports?
in the ARB price list i have here the Nitro Charger Sport are priced at $623 for a set of 4! so go buy just 2 rears.
Thanks Daz while I am out working tomorrow I will sneak past ARB thomastown... one of the blokes there looks after me, he was at Tallarook last Sunday and I saw him just before I damaged my rig.
Actually he might charge me more as he told me to stop telling people about Tallarook as he does not want any one going there!!!!
Get some rebuildable shock. Buy them once. If the crap out, put a seal kit through it.
I had ranchs on the ute when I bought it. Good travel but the adjusters siezed

Our mud looks more like cow shit....
That's called Loveday
must be lame as if a skinny wheeled GUrl got through it.
Hey darren, youre not a fan of the adjustable Ranchos? Is it because they wear out quick or are they just rubbish? I have a sneaky suspicion that those tough dog adjustables are the same shock just rebranded. Is this true? a mate has the tough dogs and they look like a good thing. (we dont do big flex slow rock crawling, more like faster stiff mud ruts and a bit of bouncing)
To be honest Lucas, in the 2" lift range I don't think you really can go past the Old Man Emu for a high quality infinitely variable valving, nitro charged shock that is Australian Made and Australian Owned and Australian Proven.
If I ran a 2" lift it would be OME and the 3" on the GUIV is OME.
He didn't mate only Agatha conquered

I am a huge fan of the Koni Adjustables though, and have run them for years
Mic
Well it seems the vibration is still there... got home from work and decided to fit the other lower control arm as it is also a little bent and realised I stuffed up and put the other one on wrong??? dopey bugger!!!
Went for a drive after that and under real tight left cornering still felt it.... have not had a chance to fit new uni's yet as I got a dodgy one from Repco and took it back today for another so will see when I get a chance but not this weekend as I promised.
The starter motor does not disengage straight away and think there is mud in it?
Fwuck this is pissing me off!!!!!! bloody bog holes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just one a full set of Old man Emu remote reservoir shocks that are rebuildable..... $265 for all 4 !!!!!!!
Frickin wrapped as I have been watching them since Daz and Benny gave me advice, cant wait to get them and fit em up.
The back end at the moment is a bit boat like since stuffing my left rear last weekend?
Daz I thought for sure it would go up more as there were a few questions asked... the one thing in my favour was his title description was odd ball and even though I thought I had searched all GQ shocks it was only after you told me to look at Old man emu that I spotted them and it was only when I had a closer look at the details I realised they were for a GQ!!!
Irish picked up an engine in almost the same way.... guy did not spell something correctly and Pete got the engine for a bargain price!!!
So I think these sell for about $470 each?? anyone know what seal kits are worth?
