I'd be running too if you were after me...

Got a mech to do the carby kit. $60 for the kit. $20 labour. While the carby was off, I removed what was left of the heater grid that is between the carby and the manifold. Then I replaced a split breather hose between the filter housing and the tappet cover.
Now it only takes 18 seconds to get the Old Trol up to 100 kph, instead of 19 seconds. :)
Be interested how your fuel figures go now MN
It wont be good for this tank as I have been planting my foot because the engine is saying " YES!" instead of "Ok, just wait a bit."
Took her in for a service
Just had a 60k service done. And also replaced, the pulley tensioner as Nissan advised me thats what was making the noise. Will find out tomorrow morning.
S#it of a job. Lot of skin of knuckles gone.

Nipped over to Lake Burrumbeet this arvo, with the intention to do some walking. Did a bit, but then decided to drive the Patrol round the lake. Deep washouts & potholes saw me having to use low range. However what should have been fun was horrible. *Every* time even the slightest amount of flex occurred the most awful & loud squeaking happened. I had suspected it might, I’ve noticed it occasionally when mounting kerbs etc & thought it was my rubber mounting of the pod when the chassis rails flex a bit. The noise was bad enough to spoil any enjoyment there might have been.
Got home & googled ‘4wd squeaks’ & found all references were to suspension. Went around the greasable shackles with the grease gun - have done this before, don’t forget *all* the suspension (springs - Leaf & coil, shocks & bushes) were new with the GVM upgrade, & not a heck of a lot of miles done since. Also liberally sprayed everywhere around springs & shocks with CRC - & then went for a drive through my local wood.
Came home with a big smile on my dial, the track was tight between trees, with a few deep puddles, plenty of washouts, drops over tree roots etc etc ...... & not a single bloody squeak! It would be nice if it is greasing the shackles which has done the job, but if the squeaks return I at least now know that it’s suspension & not pod related. I know CRC is not the answer, but it’s good to know where the problem lays.

Only went 2" LOL (don't need more than that)
Old Man Emu suspension lift supplied and fitted by UV4x4. Think they said 51-110kg rated at front and we upgraded to 200kg in the rear due the weight of my Aramillo Camping trailer.
Not sure if it's my eyes so will check tomorrow but his ass seems to sit alittle higher than the front?? Will take a decent pic tomorrow after the snorkel goes on

Nice lift, what'd you pay for that?
Tonight I pulled my MAF sensor out to give it a clean and noticed it was absolutely spotless... I mean not even slightly greasy. What's the deal there?
I'm not sure if the dealer cleaned it up our maybe even replaced it, it looks brand new, in the hopes of hiding the issue with the intercooler?
Not sure.
I want a 2inch lift........
Has a steel winch compatible bar on it - winch will come ... One day :)
I got dealership pricing because I work at "I bought a jeep" and I use them heaps for accessories - paid $2200 for the lift & a safari snorkel all supplied and fitted.
Just dropped him off this morning (literally across the road from work) and they dropped him over at 5 ... Ran outta time today so snorkel is going on tomorrow.

Washed the mud off mine and filled the gutters in the street with high country dirt.
New front wheel bearings and exhaust bracket that busted on the Kimberley trip.
G`day Cuppa
Good to see you putting a couple of Ks on the truck mate.
With the greasable shackles you are always going to have this noise return so you may need to grease them fairly regularly.
Don`t over grease and wipe off excess as it attracts dust and dirt. You may have to check the leaf pads aswell These are the little leaf separators at the end of the leafs You should also check the "U" straps which are normally riveted to one of the lower leafs and hold the pack square as if the pack flexes alot these "U" plates can become noisy. A small amount of preventative maintenance and you`ll be all good.
Beers and Cheers Pearcey
PS please say g`day to Mrs Tea
Installed a catch can
Finally wired up my dual battery setup :-) now my new auxiliary battery tray holds my primary battery and my red arc smart solenoid is keeping it all charged. Still have to wire in the override switch in the dash in case of a bat flattery... And of course some power points in the back for the engel and iPods and such, but awesome result so far!
Installed LED driving lights, internal winch controls, and a set of sliders, big day. :-)
Seamus got a bath today so he's all pretty for his trip to Banyo (Roo Systems) early next week LOL

Had one of this lying around so thought Id mount it to the cargo barrier, I'll use it to run an air horn, and later a front Prolocker
Did more diff bracing today. Son is asleep at the moment and need to do some grinding, so on hold for the moment.
No I ended up with the kit from road runner off-road. Also added my own touches by improving the radius arm brackets.

Fitted the override switch for my dual battery setup, blew a fuse and had to go to 4 shops to find another one.... On the plus side, that's the dual batteries totally sorted! Waited for the heat to die down a bit, (working in the sun on the driveway in 37 degree heat is not fun), then started pulling stuff off so I could do the carby plate mod, found out the nuts were seized, and the light was going, so that'll have to be next weekend.
Fitted up my snorkel today. What a PITA, but worth it in the end.
Booked in to get shockers fixed ! And ordered new springs. No more saggy bums.
Cleaned the poop off my seat after yesterdays lil fright ;)
I put my baby on a truck today - he was off to Banyo for his "work" tomorrow :)
