G`day 3D. When I was talking to Randall at TJM the other week, he was saying that you were pretty cluey on a few things. That got me thinking of a few things that might sound silly, but might interest you of coming up with some thing more. One idea I had in mind, was having a water bottle / container on the rear barn door where the spare wheel use to sit, once a dual wheel carrier has been fitted. It could be 10, 15 or twenty litre capacity, depending on the room that is between the barn door and spare wheel. It might be useful for drinking water, or just to wash dirty hands. Another idea is to make a metal bracket that utilizes the existing bolt holes in the door, which could be used for small shovels etc and or a metal box for storing other gear in. Just a couple of thoughts to use the space and bolts. I`m good at ideas, but manual mechanical know how are limited. What you think?

Hey mate, just wondering if you know what bolt size is needed to suit the captive nuts on the front drivers side chassis of a GQ patrol lwb wagon rb30. Hopefully you know, cheers!

Hi john, put some pics up of the roof rack, http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...875#post554875 no dents, paint is fading a bit but prob could do with a wash or repaint, it is heavy duty and flat out lifting it by myself so very solid, not sure of brand, there is a little surface rust on the connecting plates that hold the rack to the roof but is only surface rust where the last owners had there side awning and only on those plates I think but never really noticed it until I took it of the car, some of the bolts have surface rust underneath the rack but not bad, I think a spray can and some stainless bolts from Bunnings or something and it would be like new. Let me know your thoughts anyway as its just taking up space in the garage at the moment. Cheers Scott.

Hey Threedogs, can you advise/help/point-in-direction to solve a small problem. I have a '99 4.5TB which we drag through the African outback on various remote adventures. Recently had a few mud trips which resulted in the engine looking like a muddy hippo and the front crank oil seal leaking. It then dawned on me that there is a splash cover missing under the front crank pulley. I unfortunately don't have any Patrols close at hand that I could crawl under and use as reference to rebuild one. What does this splash guard look like or is there somewhere I could find a picture of one?
