hi, I'm new to forum, and new to GQ ownership. Have just purchased a 92 4.2 Maverick and will be needing the manual to bring it into the road-worthy (and reliable) world.
No doubt will need much of the great tips and experience found in this Forum, as nothing saves time and pain like reading about other people's time and pain (and learning from it)!

Plans so far are - make it safe (oil leaks, missing axle bolts, brakes, tyre scrubbing etc.), then make it reliable (rings/bearings, barwork, winch), then make it fun (turbo, suspension, lights, electrical, etc etc etc).

Hi, Josh Coleman here. My son has a GQ Patrol Ute which he is renovating. The question I have is to identify what the various holes in the floor are for. I understand the ones for securing the floor mat, but there seem to be a whole lot that are just "holes". I hope the manual can help.

My old GQ had holes, they were meant to have rubber bungs in them. I found them useful for hosing the mud n water out whenever i went too deep

Interesting. I am on the opposite spectrum: have a 1997 2.8l turbo diesel GQ 60 SUV, and have done only 100,000 km. Didn't have any issues until now. (Except some rust issues.) That's why I haven't been heard of so far. Is there a service manual on the forum that hasn't expired? (The one on page 1 is for a GQ 61, a slightly newer model.) Advice would be appreciated, thank you guys.

Hi how do i get the zd30 crd manual

I’m a proud GQ Patrol owner from Cameroon, just swap the engine to a 2.8 TD Gold Top (RD28T).
It has a bit of an attitude and puff a little black smoke (lots lately) when she’s feeling dramatic, hopefully thanks to this forum I will find ways to keep her in good shape and happy!

A little puff of black smoke changing gears is no big thing, off the throttle, change, on the throttle, puff of smoke, normal.
Heap of smoke accelerating? Big tune! At least dyno, get injectors and pump serviced prior, best,I can offer.
