If it says file is damaged I would believe that something has corrupted in the dowload.

If I remember correctly there is a link 2 a pdf file that you have 2 download and open before downloading the manual itself, which one is not working for you the first pdf link or the manual itself?

I'm using firefox as well, I've tried refreshing the page multiple times, I've also tried with safari and that hasn't worked. I may try to see if I can update firefox and try again. Let you know how that goes.

Hi there. I am a newbie to this forum and gave an intro yesterday. I have a 97 GQ 2.8tdi and am trying to find a workshop manual for this engine. There appears to be plenty on the 3.0lt and the 4.2, but I am having a lot of trouble trying to find one for the 2.8tdi.

It's not that hard to get 25 posts up mate, just post up an intro and welcome a few new members and your there......just don't post up any crap or you could get the chop.
There has been a lot of hard work by our members to get these manuals for everyone's benefit.
What's the big deal about being forewarned........surely it does not take that much to signup

Welcome to the forum Bruce.

I have put an entire post about the 25 post rule at the top of the manuals section and also when you sign up it pre-warns you about the rule.

Hi folks just got another patrol a GQ 1995 2.8 turbo diesel having problems with the glow plugs burning out fist the one in the cylinder closest to the cabin I think it is #1 and then #3 the cylinder one away from it. Any one know what might be causing it ?

I was getting lots of exhaust condensation and gradual loss of coolant. The block has had to be welded and re-machined. Is this common? has anybody else had this Problem?

Gday mate, welcome aboard. I don't think your problem is all that common, perhaps it was run without coolant and only water for a while? Anyway thanks for the introduction, it's just that it's in the wrong place haha! Maybe a moderator could please move it to the introductions thread:-)

mate, you've got bucklies chance of this being emailed to you, its around 100MB. Your best bet is to go over to the intros, start up a new thread, introduce yourself and your ride. Then slowly welcome 23 new members, don't go spamming other threads as thats a sure fire way of getting banned. Hopefully you'll stick around as the info and knowledge on here is far greater than any manual.

Im on my phone its a galaxy when I try and download the 2.8 pdf file it downloads to 74% then it will just stop there and I have to restart the app to try again

I just checked your status and you didn't confirm your email address on sign up which puts you in a category that gets stuck.

On the main unread page of mc, hit the button to bring up options like search, profile etc, last option, log out..

When your on PC you get the error but the apps may not be able to display the error thats built into the forum hence the hang.

Never tried to download the manuals from the phone so never noticed that.

I'll try it with Tappa later on but it may be a generic issue with the applications as they are purely designed to read, post and view images.

They all might not of developed a download attachment feature to the device.

Yep it works fine but the link using mc takes you to your browser so you have to log in again.

Go to the manuals section in the forums and not the button at the top of this page

just click on this pdf file gq-nissan-patrol-service-manual[1].pdf (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5836&d=1308273484)

when it comes up with "open with" or "save", just select "open with"

This will open the pdf file in adobe reader, then click on the link 2 download the manual

If it doesn't open the first pdf then let us know

What does the PDF open with? Acrobat or embedded viewer or an app or something else.

I just tried mine and works fine when the PDF is opened in Acrobat..

Hmm, never heard of it...LOL Have you got Acrobat reader?? Try that, If not download a free version... (http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/)make sure you untick the mcafee installer

Did you open the pdf directly or save the pdf then open it? Are you using PC, Phone orTablet?

I'm pretty sure if you open it directly you may have to wait a 20sec or so before the link works.

Try it again wait a min then try the link, if it still doesn't work let me know

I will do some testing on the weekend but have never had an issue on the pc other than having 2 wait a few secs for the link 2 be click-able .

I have 2 sets of those! One set in my office and another set in my shed plus the one on my iPhone and iPad from here ;)

They are great Kallen and are identical t what is downloaded here. Nice score! My first set cost me $200 and at the time I was very happy to pay that much. Second set maybe cost me $50 and I grabbed them just because and both were before AB invented this place.
