93patrol

i think his and Broads egos were to much for the rest of the English camp to cope with so they got rid Peterson because he wasn't making runs on the boards

Avo
5th February 2014, 07:40 PM
apparently Peterson has been the rot ion the team for a long time. When swan retired he actually said"they can't make me wear the cap anymore",alot of the team had had enough.they have kept in on amondst complaints because of his runs and ability to make them...But I suppose the time has come and they need to do something...heard comments the other day about him and our Warnie and they say that atleast Warne play as a member of the team on the field and not so for this fella Peterson.....Oh all them long hours in the tractor listening to ABC southwest...

kevin07

Peterson is a pr#ck no doubt but they had to find a goat somewhere so starting with one of the imports is probably the best way start getting back on track.

One thing our thrashing over there has shown, is that we need a clear out, not just playing staff either. Get rid of some of the bullshitting hangers on like travel assistants, food tasters and the rest of the leeching wretches.

KP has had his time, yep, he is a great run scorer,at times, but there appears to be lots of bad feeling in the camp. He is not alone though, Monty should never play again, he could not catch a beach ball from 5 feet away, others need to look long and hard at themselves as well.

But these things go in cycles, we`ll have a crap time then get better, same as you lot have done very recently.

threedogs
6th February 2014, 12:39 PM
agree what you say it comes in circles, as for Monty rlmfao a few years back watching him return the ball from the outer.
My mates sister can throw further than him. Suppose they have the IPL to fall back on for a year or so for some extra cash

young aussie inflicting some more pain on the poms. have to write this my son is in England playing cricket for hagley for the season. so any way last week he unleashed the beast. actually what he done he went crazy on them. his score 218 not out from 106 deliveries and his 200 came from 101 deliveries. this I believe is a world record so far I have not been able to find a quicker 1. this score included 28 fours and 10 sixes. get that 1 into you ye old muckas another pommy flogging. kev

28th July 2014, 04:52 AM
Glad that he is doing well and wish him every success mate.

Cook actually scored some runs today,95. He is a good batsman and hope he is coming out of a bad place now. Problem I see for the next ashes is that we don`t seem to have any decent bowlers at the minute, dunno if Broad and Anderson are carrying knocks. Also, we have no decent spin bowler, that will need addressing before the next ashes series.

kevin07
28th July 2014, 03:55 PM
yeh agreed the poms for a long time now implode on themselves. what I see they are lacking is someone with genuine attitude problem with other countries to lead the way stokes has attitude but he stills needs someone to look to and cook is just a nice bloke. as we say here ade is gotta get someone with c#%t in them to fire the team.

that Duckworth lewis system usually helps the team batting first,
but with the advent of 20/twenty cricket a player can now score
many more runs than before, just look at the totals some teams
and individual players are getting, who scores 230 odd in a 50 game over

macca

Years ago scores of 300 were common, then the expected score fell quite dramatically.
With these IPL, Twenty/20, Big Bash etc the batsmen have their confidence back and skill levels have increased dramatically.
Don't remember so many 4's and especially 6's scored like today.
We certainly have exiting cricket now, really enjoy it.

There were a few wild throws that passed the wicket to the other side before that run out, maybe it was a ruse to set them up when a good throw would be effective.

Angry super quicks are awesome to watch.
I reckon the Radounikis approach is best, take 'em in the dunny just before the game starts, belt 'em around the chops a few times then push 'em out the change room door and throw 'em the ball
