    Sreange noise.

    Hey all,

recently my 2012 CRD manual makes a weird "groaning" noise when first moving off the mark. Only in first and reverse. It dissapears once Im moving. Gear changes are normal. It seems to go away once temps are up to normal.... Amy idea's?

    Cheers all.

Every time or just first in the day? I am wondering if your handbrake shoes are dragging?

Yes, early on owning the Patrol, I had that weird sound a couple of times. Then I realiesd the handbrake was not fully releasing but only if the car was facing downhill. It finally resolved itself when the gearbox, transfer case including the brake was swapped out.
