Fkn cars. This year I have had the following happen to me.

Patrol head cracked followed by injector pump failure.

Motorbike alternator failure... Yes it has an alternator.

Today the transmission went into angel gear on the LS1 I had planned on installing into above mentioned patrol.

I've cut my losses and put a deposit on a newerish ute. Originally what I planned on buying when the patrol first went but what ever.

Been massive waste of money this year on vehicles hopefully 2020 brings better luck.

Not happening mate. The adventra is up for sale. Once I get the nav I'll take off all the accessories off the patrol and start parting that out to. It's just time to cut my losses.

Hey Nick, good to see you today, but you did throw me completely standing there, maybe why the 'Adam' came out - sincere apologies for that mistake. This chain of events has certainly been crappy for you. When you mentioned you were going to part out your GU, I thought what a tragedy, so many things looked lined up for a win.

Nic. So the auto's gone in the Commy. Cant the GU auto bolt up? Surely Wholesale Automatics or Marks adapters do a conversion kit.

They are a dime a dozen, but you wouldn't gamble on a second hand one. I've been quoted $1800 for a standard rebuild which no one recommends to $4000 for a bullet proof build.

Will the little research I did. I think if you run the Nissan box (which I've been told are very strong) you have to run it as a fully manualized box. That's way you see a lot running a manual box. Different story if it's a ls2.

Geez Nic, so sorry to read this. You've certainly had some (Heaps) shit luck with vehicles, I really feel for you.
I can understand you wanting to cut your losses.
