AB, This is disgusting.
It reminds me of drop kicks up our way: some yobbos wanted to keep people out of old drop slab hut (Witses - KNP) 25yrs back we use to stay in, by running a chainsaw thru the ledge and brace door and adjacent jam slab to run a chain and lock thru. No wonder access is stopped. Trouble is the irresponsible still find a way to destroy what ever is in their path. It sucks.

They do PTL. Worked through countless stations and once mentioned that I pulled out and overtook a cop doing 90 in a 100 zone. He laughed said we love doing that!

Do you know if the victims were local?

Sorry for the late reply. One overseas tourist died, and four more in that vehicle badly injured. A 68 year old local was trapped in the second car. All the survivors are now in a serious, but stable condition.

Crazy isn't it...

Had a mate came off years ago with leathers and still had horrible damage to his leg on the bitumen graze.

We used to go to the Glenburn pub or Reefton pub after a days 4wding and used to watch young blokes roll in on their roadbikes with shorts and their girlfriends on the back with tank tops and skirts.

Had some very skilled riders who used to laugh at those kids and try and educate them but their attitude was pfft, whatever old man...lol...Silly!
