Watching video footage from a mate ( happened close 2 a year ago now ) that is pretty damn clear for 2am of a guy with a torch looking into both his cars and lifting the handles then walking away and the cops weren't interested in the footage as the guy never actually broke into the cars and stole anything.

Family friends crd just let go. Well something let go... wish I got the phone out in time as the white smoke behind him was spectacular! He shut it down before I got to pull over but said there was a jack hammer like knocking noise that scared the shit out of their kids before he lost most of the power...
He has warranty still and car is stock but our day we planned for a long time is ruined.

Dont the some CRD's have an issue with the oil pickup dropping off in the sump and therefor no pickup oil? I did read this somewhere. Either way not good. Under warranty i suppose but it would be interesting to see what the cause is and what Nissan do about it.

I think the early CRD's had oil pump pickup getting loose issues.
I forgot to mention this oil coming out the exhaust after it happeend, the towie put a rag in the pipe to stop it going everywhere.
Hopefully it was just the turbo...

Damn that's frustrating to hear... Especially with a vehicle so new, hopeful warranty will cover it all without a problem. FTG Nissan are supposedly one of the better ones to deal with.
