What is everyone thinking for Monday night? Getting home or stopping somewhere?
Chubba - what time were you thinking we might make Iron Knob?
Trying to work out myself whether it is worth just finding a spot to camp the night on that PAR 23 before Nonning, launch it home or maybe stop at Whyalla and catch up with a mate. Pondering.

Thanks - the northern end of the PAR just before Nonning looks like it gets back in some nice country and according to previous post from Chubba "Camping is permitted within 250 metres of the track" so could be an option depending on the time of day. Might need to push on a bit further depending how far you want to drive the next day. See how we go I suppose.

Predicting a time for Iron Knob might be a little difficult. It all depends on track conditions, weather and such. Could be early or late. We haven't be this way before so we don't really know. If it's a quick drive we might want stay a little longer or we might think fuck it, lets keep going. Play by ear I think. I personally will make a call at the time. Setting up camp somewhere near the top of PAR 23 is a tempting idea though. All depends on the day. As long as we all have that option of an extra night we'll be covered.

Ok meal planning.
Are we looking at pulling up with enough time for camp fire tea any night?
Would be cool if we could do a camp oven cook out but if not stove top meals it is..
I'm happy either way just some things are suited better for a slow camp oven cook over a stove..
Gotta plan some kid friendly meals..
