    new clutch smell

Afternoon fella's I have recently had my clutch replaced to a HD Xtreme out back clutch and single mass flywheel after the standard clutch shit it self after 25,000 kays i drove it from border town to mornington without any drama's, but yesterday I drove up to lake mountain and a burning clutch smell was very very prevalent, to the point where the man at the servo made a comment is there a run in period on clutches? there was no slip at all or shudder I am just a bit concerned as my clutch went very suddenly last time in the middle of no where

thats a bit weird ... you shouldn't smell clutch. i've never smelt a clutch that wasn't slipping unless it be driver error or worn out

try 1st gear leave right foot on brake and release clutch does it stall ?
can you see any oil coming out of the bell housing ?
is there anything on the exhaust like a plastic bag or oil ?
do you rest your foot on the clutch pedal when you drive ? (my wife does this drives me nuts)
can't think of what your problem would be but try those ideas to narrow it down
if its worth doin its worth over doin
