Thanks mudski the bloke was really good and knows his stuff.
Bobs a great bloke. Him and his english accent... Fook this and fook that! He loves the to drop the C bomb too a lot. Known him for a long time and wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. One thing he told me when regassing mine last year after a busted hi pressure hose. I had high gas temps and the pressures were really high, even though the right amount of gas in there. One thing that most people look past on their cooling system is the gaps around the radiator and support panel. He said is imperative to seal them up. So all the air coming in from the front has no where to go except through the condensor and radiator. Your a/c will work better and your water temps will be better too.
I had a look at mine and I was amazed to see the gaps right around and above my radiator. Something that I never thought to look at or even consider it being an issue.

Well I celebrated a little too soon.. the compressor it seems has a leak that did not show up until the car was driven for a bit.

I have to go back in the morning to get the gas sucked out... problem is where my compressor is leaking cannot be repaired.

I gave a good compressor too Matty and I think he butchered it for bits... faarrkk !!!

Go see Mark at JPC and ask him for my old compressor off the ZD. While the pulley is different, I had a look at the mounting and from what I could see, the body of the compressor was the same from the ZD to TD. Its not hard to take the idler wheel off and they might even swap over. Whether it works or not. Who knows.

Tell us about it... he said very rarely they will seal themselves up if they are run for a fair bit... he told me to run the system for 2 weeks after it had been gassed but now i have to go back in the morning and have the system degassed.

Well its official I have no aircon.... oh fun.

Chappy has an aircon compressor but is overseas, I think he gets back tonight.

I managed to replace my headlights this arvo and also replace radiator hose clamps.

Yesterday I got the oil changed and Billy went over my car again and both rear lower control arms bushes need replacing..

From what I have seen with all these mobs that supply heavy duty parts dont fit decent rubber bushes as my tough dog panhards flogged out and so with my heavy duty control arms.. replacing as I go with Nissan bushes.

The vac hose goes around to the vacuum tanks via a solenoid valve. There will be a small port, probably with a rubber cap on it on the steel tube setup at the tanks. Thats how it is on mine anyway. But have been told to not bother with it. Dunno.
