The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Good to go! Happy dayz!

I will make a full depth full width shelf at window height or a little above the tyre so I can load it up. Pretty happy with it until I want to go away for a trip then Fark knows where everything will go????? Need to learn a new system, those drawers have served me well, going to miss that.

Hey Darren you should make a spare tyre slide. Lol. so if you need to get the tyre out you simply slide the drawer out.

Yeah thats a massive and heavy tyre. You'd wanna make removal as easy as possible without putting too much strain on your back. I'd most certainly blow a pooper valve dragging that thing out of the car.

The tread blocks actually makes it pretty easy to handle. Bloody heavy by fairly easy to manage. I fitted the tie downs out far enough that I can drag the wheel out and not jag on the tie downs.

I will install a shelf across just above the tyre so I can pack on top. I will remove the compressor from the box on the wheel arch and mount it on the floor in front of the tyre too..

Most of the guys I roll with have their spare inside the car like that. I will manage. Need the shelf to handle the 45lt Fridge would be ace and somewhere to mount the travel buddy with acres through the side window again is the plan.

    Was what I was thinking.....

Thought about the slide out for the spare myself and think for the effort it would be a great idea.
