just as a thought, I had a similar problem when I had the zd30 in my gu a few years back, ended up being the vacuum hose that went to the turbo actuator rubbed through.

I had loss of power, albeit very intermittent. Then I saw there was a recall a while back for the accelerator sensor. Called Nissan to find out whether my car ever had the recall done. It hadn't, so I booked it in. The result is sensational, it has much more power and acceleration. It's like it's a different motor, even the boss notices the difference....
