Thanks for the suggestions 1D and 3D, that Myth field dress kit is certainly tempting! Found this on ebay after your suggestions and these guys are right near my work, is it a good starting point?

Trialling out a new sheath design. Can be carried as a crossdraw or across the small of the back.

Gerber are a good brand, as OD said there is a kit for $60 but that may reflect quality imo.

Took some knives up the Murray ,but way to sore to really test them. Did however try my M-teck bumblebee Tanto
and chopped some tie wire and not a mark on the edge, very impressed, as you can see I've sharpened this one , very sharp IMO
Bob cut me a 500mm disc from a redgum log, I'm going to dress it and either 1 use it for a chopping board or display my small skinners on it

good score still waiting on the stone washed tanto to arrive.
The redgum disc was 500mm not 50mm as I wrote, but has been corrected.
I did use my Ghillie kettle in the morning, cheated a bit using some coals from the fire to
start the kindling. One thing I did notice is have all your twigs and leaves handy before you light it.
It burns very quickly anything you throw down the inside, But got 3 decent cups of hot water from it.
so very happy. Need to cull all my gear as not taking my camper anymore going sell it.

Janderson showed me his Schrade "Old timer", had a few years on it but oozed class
with a good weight to it as well, his was US made not China like most modern knives

stone washed tanto still not here , but did buy some more Molle gear [damn you OD] lol
I brought the 3 pouch waist pouch in ACU and a cap [ACU] with Velcro patch
which I'll put my blood group patch on, Already have the wide brimmed ACU.
The idea is to have two sets of Molle one in ACU and another in brown{fawn} for different set ups
