I know what you mean now...
Nah mate I'm at work and will not get to play around until next weekend unfortunately.
Finally some good news.
Just took off actuator arm and its definitely sitting 1mm too forward.
It was ever so slightly keeping it open or opening as soon as any level of pressure came in.
I'm going to borrow my brothers oxy and get it about 3 to 4mm back so there's enough preload.
More bad news is the highmount will not fit where the ic currently sits.
This is a monster, but...
I have a few options on that...
Take off thermo and bonnet support, push it back further or I'm going to double check but it may just fit under where it is currently but need to check it properly.
If anyone can confirm exact measurement if they have a highmount on a gq arb deluxe bar then let us know as that would be a mammoth help!!!
The Himount is 220mm deep front to back AB.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Yeah I know I was more interested in how it sat and how high it protruded up from the top plate and the height of the curve at the top and a few other things...lol
Believe it or not its so tight that the curve at the top may just curve away enough...
It's going to be damn close to sit actually under the ic.
Real close looking at my highmount and if someone had one installed on a gq arb deluxe to confirm exactly how it sits I could get away with not doing anything.
I can move it back to the aircon but to get that to work I need to relocate the pipe for aircon that runs up the left hand side which is annoying.

Ill have to double check in the light thanks mate...fingers crossed!!!
In theory would one expect higher egts if they had a boost leak or the wastegate was slightly open all the time?
Less air, less boost, making it run more rich?
Not comparing my non ic to ic just a question in general...
If the lever on the wastegate arm was correct and holding correct boost then one should expect lower egts then if it was half open surely?
