Turned out some scumbag damaged both the passenger side front and rear of the car, obviously when they were reversing out of the car-park, they hit my wife's car. Now its going to cost us another $500.00 excess in insurance costs to have $1,700.00 worth of damaged fixed. PS, there is only one way to treat parasites on the arse of society. .50cal Regards, Paul
Right, how do we get our hands on one.

Probably, but I'll only do it, if the missus keeps picking at it. Lol

Removing spring U bolts for a quick bellows fit before a shooting trip on Friday. All threads stretched resulting in all U bolts buggered. Public holiday yesterday, short on time to find and replace in time.......

U bolts are less than two years old. I’m certainly not the harshest bloke with my forby, but we do go to out of the way places. I think most threads under this stress will stretch, It just ends up cross threading the bolts. The nuts were loosened until they seized, then I had to cut the bolts to remove. Normally not a problem, I am just time constrained!!!
Spare U bolts (new, not these ones) good idea though!

If going off the beaten track I'd hate to be stuck just because I never had a spare.
Most 4x4 shops throw out old "U" bolts , check pic of my vice lol
Don't leave home without one eh.
Would think not a huge expense

Nice. Had to do “Black-smithing” as part of my apprenticeship (no, I’m not old?), love the anvil. U bolts about $15 each, little more if you have to get them made. I’ll add one to my kit.
