That's bullshit mate especially where you live I reckon the risk of theft or damage would be heaps higher in Perth than pemberton. Give them a call and talk to someone, I've found you can get a heaps better deal if you speak to someone rather than online. I've got house and contents and another car with them so maybe that helps get the price down.
Well I'm a happy camper, just swapped to RACV last month and only $628.60 for 12 months with $60,000 agreed value, $625 excess.
I'm rating 1 and do get a multi-policy discount and the claims I made in the last 12mths didn't effect my rating as it was with a different insurer.
Also covered Australia wide.
Sometimes it pays to be one of those old baby boomer pricks.

All they ask is to prove you are a 'motoring enthusiast'.( I insured my other car with them as proof) Had a claim 2 weeks after joining, when Katrol slipped, no dramas at all. Agreed value and $550 excess.
