    Stripey's GUII ---- pics

Thought I would move introduction to here

    Hi All

Purchased my first Nissan Patrol a couple of days ago, thought it was about time I got on here.

I had been looking for a manual patrol for a while and after having 5 inspected with varying responses from mechanics none of which where good for the wallet.
Reluctantly I had this one inspected I say reluctant because it is an auto but when report came back and only issue was blown brake light I couldn't pass it up
especially when it was $15,000 and the car yards still sell 200,000km vehicles for upwards of $18,000

    2001 GUII ST
    ZD30
    Auto
    Bronze
    148,000km
    Dual Battery's
    No Modifications.. yet.

I have on order a couple of parts already that should give me some reliability being known as the hand grenade
    3" Turbo back exhaust
    EGR block
    Dawes and needle valve kit
    provent catch can
    pyro gauge
    boost gauge
    pillar pods

Have already changed out factory head unit for an after market job, quick and easy with iso plugs
went pioneer with the mvh x565bt digital media receiver (No cd player) complete solid state no moving parts.
even picks up SW radio as my dad found out when he was playing with it goes from 3000 kilohertz to 21000 kilohertz
was able to listen to an american radio talk back show just on the factory antenna whilst on the move.

    anyhow here are some pics

So today I received the final piece to my stereo puzzle.

Firstly I removed the black cover on lower left hand side of centre dash and drilled a 28mm hole with this funky drill bit

This below is the reason for cutting up pieces of car found it on ebay Flush Mount USB 3.5mm 1/8 AUX, reason for doing this is because I hate when head units give you an AUX and a USB cable but they just float around getting in the way

    cut piece and flush mount

the back of my digial media receiver with usb and aux connected

    the final result

as this unit has bluetooth hands free calling built in I fitted the mic hear out of harms way

very vague write up but I do believe pics tell a thousand words

As I said elsewhere nice looking Troll, you can modify that bulbar to include a winch,
I notice your model has less switch space that later models, like the USB port,BTW
