Mate, this rebuild has had its ups and downs but I must say that this rig of yours is looking a million bucks! Well done. This has given me a boost of confidence that I can get mine back on the road in the next 18 months or so.
Cheers,
Rob

Just about to jump into my next Patrol. A 2001 GU II TB45E .
WARNING!: Do not ever use a towball as a recovery point. They are not rated and can become a deadly projectile during a recovery if they snap off, and they have done so with tragic results in the past.
Thanks Rob !
Still working on the rear bar over at Scottys place (big thanks to him for his efforts) bit of a mission indeed, ive given up counting the hours many people have put into this, at least we have finally worked out how to mount the lights, here is a pic of where we are at, with the lights just sitting there......
Still got light mounts to finish, plus a chequer plate top/step, a couple of other panels, and then mudflaps.
Got my small spotties in the lower section of the front bar now as well, only took so long as i wanted to make them hard to steal, otherwise i could have bolted them on months ago.
Ive angled them out to the side and i want to get some spread lenses for them, then ive got a excuse as to why i fitted/needed them (other than cosmetics, the real reason, lol)

Looking good mate.... I like that rear bar.
Where did the front bar come from? Looks great.

Im very happy with mine "now", (more info if you read through this thread), i think it looks awesome, plus it has great clearance/approach angle for off roading, lots of people look and comment on it.
As with most bars, i think they look much better with big spot lights, this is before i put spotties on.....

Well i do, but not really what you are after im afraid, its still not finished ,progress is slow, Scotty and myself have not worked on the bar for a few weeks, as we both had other things to catch up on , inc family etc.
We have now got the rear in fill plates cut and welded in, and the chequer plate top step has been cut, the panels above the lights now made and welded in, does not look like much i know, but its been hours of work, with lots more yet to finish it........
