Thanks, MEGO. It means a lot

My 4 adult sons are carrying on the tradition with me.

Although they don't live with us, I don't expect any pressies. It means much more to me when they say,
    "love you Dad".

    Take care out there.

I got to go fishing with one of my kids today, but only caught a big gurnard. Wasn't gunna risk getting zapped, so back it went.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Gurnard are like big-eyed freaky flathead, but they are taller and have poisonous spines on their back, and gills and fins. They have nice- eating flesh, but unless you have the right gear to kill and de-spine them, they are just too dangerous. We used to kill and then fillet them, but my brother got the tiniest of touches of a spine on a knuckle, and his hand blew up to two times its size. He said the pain was maddening.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.
