    I will see what its like next month but I will probably get chains here in Preston as I think it will be a touch cheaper and easier to drop off when I get back...

    I have not put chains on in nearly 20 years and back then we had to fit them to a small truck... was not fun!!

    It's a c*^t of a job at the best of times. On a 33' wheel just adds that bit of extra enjoyment!

    I've never put chains on but I saw pat callinan do it the other day on tv. He did one tyre at a time, spread the chains out flat on the ground, put a little block of wood in the centre so when he drove forward he knew when to stop then lifted the chains up around the wheel. Is this the normal technique or a clever trick?

    Think I saw that too, nah cheap trick mate. Would work good though.

    If you guys don't mind I will fit my 35" Simex Centipedes and engage the front and rear lockers and bring my big foot just cause!
