    Noisy Snorkel

Hi Guys, my 2005 3.0 Patrol is making a rumble through the Snorkel(factory Nissan one). It's kind of like a resonating burble at idle and you can still hear it whilst driving! Any Ideas?

No, no catch can fitted and not quite 120000k's. Fuel efficiency seems right and car running quite well!

Check that snorkel is firm try placing rubber or foam between throat and body.
I think from memory they vibrate from sucking air not 100% but have heard
some are very noisey, it can be fixed though Tried a search???
While its idling try moving it to see if noise changes

Have asked this before. Have simular noise. Had ARB listen to it, they seem to think it’s normal.

I find you get a bit of a rumble not as much when you do some engine braking

When I had the D22 Navara with the ZD30 there was a little blow back so there wasn't suction 100% of the time. ARB said it was normal so dunno if its the same kind of thing.

Expect it to be a little noisier than without one.

I had a look through your forum record Janderson and that is what it seems to be doing with mine. Will get the tools out and check under the guard as I have already checked the obvious.
