    squeaking noise

    hi all my 95 Gq has started squeaking from the fromt right.sounds like wheel bearings could be replaced.is it true GQ's bearings have to be pressed back in??any help would be appreciated

    On the front no mate they can just be done by hand. You will need a hammer and drift to replace the cones but its quite an easy job really.

    cheers have heard that they are suppossed to be pressed in.but that advice did come from a gu owner so may be the gu that require it

    You sure its a squeaking sound ?? jack up the offending wheel and holding top and bottom see if you have any movement,
    Squeaking isn't a word I'd use for a failing wheel bearing more of a grinding sound IMO
    04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

    yeah not much of a grinding sound.will check out tomorrow.im hoping it isnt the bearings i suppose sqeauling at times is better way to describe.Thanks to all for the advice given so far.
