I have thought about it but haven't done it as yet. My original impressions were that they took away some of the power of the vehicle with two fuels happening, BUT now I think they have better systems up and runiing that far exceed my previous prejudices against gas /petrol. Therres a mob from WA that do this sort of thing that reqiuires very changes to be made to the motor and I think would be worthy of an indepth look-see
Earlier type gas systems put a venturi (a restriction) in the inlet air flow to draw gas in. Any restriction to air flow reduces power. Later LPG vapour injection systems do not need the venturi so there is no power loss on petrol and very minimal power loss on gas. The latest LPG liquid phase injection systems actually have slightly more power on gas than petrol due to the intercooling effect of the liquid gas evaporating (latent heat of evaporation) in the intake ports.
