25-30K what would you get ?

Have been given a budget of 25-30k to spend on a Patrol.

The use will be day to day commute and a 4wd trip once a month up to a moderate grade and also a few camping trips and 1 big trip a year. Camper comes in under 700kg so ya never know it's out back, and I have d\ne the locked and lifted extream 4x4 before and am over it and won't be returning.

So up to 30k, family tourer, able to tackle moderate 4x4 situations and tow a light load.
    What would you get ?

Remember up to 30k has to include any mods to be done, and the initial purchace price.

Not a bad buy and another $2,500 for suspension, a Snorkel, a UHF and maybe a Rack if you needed one and your done mate or chase a steel bar and lights for the front.

Much older Series 1 but a TD42 ready to travel

    here is another GUIV

now at a 2008 GUIV and we are getting silly for under 30k

There is Plenty mate, buy the newest one with the least kms and you will not look back.

For your kind of use a 2" lift, set of 33s, a Snorkel and a Radio and your nearly done.

    Good luck mate.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

What Darren meant 2 say was he would buy a GQ for around 5-10g then spend the rest on mods, nothing silly of course. Might even have change for a case of beer

For $30K you could buy mine!!!!! lmao

EDIT: noted, you're not looking for locked and lifted!! lol

Oh well, back to the drawing board!! Great budget to have though - choice nearly endless in that price range for a solid package.

Oh, i'm not talking crazy.... Air lockers would be fine, 2in lift, 33's, winch, plasma rope, burn the back of ya skull spotties, superflex arms ect. Most important, it would drive well on road and be fully leagal, reliable and comfy too.

I'm realy suss on the 3.0l.... dunno, seems to be a lot of BS on the web along with some truths

LOL auto lockers. I want full control..... nothing worse than the auto locker spitting you sideways into a tree ect.
Turn off the air locker and only one wheel spins and you can keep her straight.

horses for coursers..... lol ..... Auto Lockers... young players.
