Try disconnecting the battery for a few hours and let the ECU reset itself. Then see if you get the errors again as sometimes the fault happens but the ECU doesn't clear itself ...

At least try that first before hunting for something that may not be an ongoing problem ...

Give it a go mate - mine did the same thing a while back (on another thread in here) and resetting the ECU resolved it - some error codes need to have the ECU reset via the consult unit, but most will clear after a couple of hours disconnected (I left mine overnight just to be sure also as no one could put a finger on just how many hours was needed).

Awesome, I will give it a try....so is it just to clear the code or would it fix a malfunction in the ecu (or whatever is causing the lockup converter to play up again?)

From my understanding it will clear the error code, but won't fix a malfunction in the ECU or whatever the problem is, and from what I have been told even if there is an error code still in the system form a previous problem that has since been fixed it will not cause any problems.

But I hope you can prove me wrong and clearing the error code solves your problem.

    Cheers

Correct, but if a malfunction it'll error out again and isolate it hopefully. I had three error codes that all cleared and never reappeared for some reason.

If they reappear, hopefully it's not all of them, and so begins the hunt for the 'real' problem.

Let us know what happens, If it doesn't clear, gives us a starting point, unfortunately error codes only narrow the problem down, say for example your error read: inhibitor switch, power shift switch, kickdown switch or idle switch circuit is disconnected or the control unit is damaged.

It could be none of those that at fault, but the problem you have is caused by another problem that is causing a problem with one of those....

.............hope that made sense Lucas............had a few beers

yep, made perfect sense mate but ive had a few turkeys too.....think im speaking your language lol.

i reckon the problem is the temp sensor. Its doing the same thing as last time and was only replaced by a second hand one. Although its just a bit too much of a coincidence to have failed again.
    back to the drawing board
