Howdy guys, this is my rig that I recently bought: GQ 1993 4.2 turbo diesel, has got a few extra's, long range tank, roof rack, snorkel, turbo timer, boost gauge, spotties, haymen reece tow kit, water tank side steps, CB, is in pretty good nick few bangs and bumps here and there but mechanically A1 (got the motor compression tested), just needs a bit of TLC. Have done alot so far already, long travel 3" lift goes in this week will add some more piccies and brief rundown of what has been done after she gets jacked up .


All these pics are before i picked it up when to look at her with Swampy and the kids.


Was a bit grubby inside when picked her up spent couple days cleaning & tiding up interior lol

howdy all,

just thought was about time i updated this thread, have had the rig for a few months now done a few bits and pieces since picked her up.

3" long travel boss adjustable suspension lift is in love the flex i can get next time im out will get a couple of good pics and post em up.

Installed new Clarion head deck, 6" 300 watt splits in front doors and 6x9 450 watts in barn doors cut doors were needed to so didnt have to use speaker mounts.

Replaced the wiper blades and while was there took the arms off car rubbed them back and resprayed in matt black.

Took roof rack off car was painted in grey primer with a ugly piece of ply painted mission brown screwed down to it yuk lol...removed the ply, sanded the rack back undercoated and painted it in matt black...am happy with way turned out alot better than they grey

Have still got the alloy bar on atm due to ingesting water down snorkel just b4 christmas on my previous 4x4 wanna knock the loan i got 4 me gq on head b4 spend too much more, in meantime did some alterations to the alloy bar, so out with the grinder cut off the lower parts to allow max approach angle.

Did forget to add on my last post has aftermarket cruise control fitted, tested it out last week and works a treat
