Uneven suspension?

Hey guys, I have recently purchased a 99patrol(Private sale), and it wasn't till after I got home that I noticed one side lower than the other by about an inch. I hopped underneath and checked the suspension and one is extended further than the other as well.

This rig has polyair suspension in it as well. Could it be that one bag is filled more than the other?

Or could it be something a little more sinister?

Let the air out and check. You really only need the bags with a load to level the vehicle.

yep just use your tyre gauge to check what pressures are in them, the valves will likely be at the back somewhere. Run them low when not needed but always leave something in them or you run the risk of pinching them.

Polyair recommend leaving at least 5psi in them. They are good for 35psi or so but i run mine when i needed them at around the 20psi mark and made a big difference with a trailer on.

You should have no need to run them when its just you and your wife in the car mate. If you do need them then it is likely that you need some new suspension anyways.

It is common for the front right to sag more than the rest of the car over time due to the Driver always sitting there. Very Common actually. To the point that when fitting new suspension the drivers front spring is generally a little longer to accommodate the guaranteed extra weight on that side. She looks pretty standard so likely running the original stuff under there so time to upgrade anyways mate.

it simply could be that previous owner had a big passenger or the driver was big ?? i remmeber setting up an hilux with h/duty springs on left hand side as the blokes wife was very big and wanted a beefy suspention to stop bottoming out!!

Looks like the sag on a typically driven GU.
They all seem to do that after a while on the drivers side, especially if it was only ever driven around with one person in it.
Nothin major that a set of springs and shocks wouldnt fix...............and if ya want seein as im a Sth Aussie as well and have a plethera of experience with settin Patrols suspension up, and i have a 'shed business' sellin Dobinsons suspension (due to my account with them as part of my sponsorship deal) i can set ya up with a sweet suspension deal.
I have done LOTS!!! just look at my avatar for a start! <<<<<<

Had the same but the RHS, used coil spacers to fix.
