Welcome to the forum! sounds like you have a few lessons to share. Please let us know what to do and what not to do to resolve some of the issues you have faced.
4.2's are the way to go if you're towing or tckling the rough stuff. I'm currently experimenting with a 2.8TD and considering a front mechanical diff lock. Any ideas on mechanical versus air lock diffs?
