While its apart like that mate go and buy a 4lt tin of brush on Sound deadener and give the floor 3 or 4 coats and also the inside of the door skins. You will thank yourself.
Also think about buying a heap of different coloured heat shrink and colour code both ends of everything so you don't have to rely on labels that might not be readable in 5 years. A band of heat shrink 40mm long on both ends of each wire or a few wraps of electrical tape on each end will be a winner mate.

I would hate to think how much money I've spent on cable not to mention switches/relays/fuses boxes so on so forth.
Probably up to about 40-50 hours, coming together tho. Rear seats wont be going back in, full length draws with a cargo barrier. Seal and sound proof the floor .

Funny by the look of the artificial light all the time this is an after hours affair!!!!!!
Real though mate it looks insane, I swapped out my carpet and underlay 3 weeks ago and would have loved it if I could afford the down time and gone all out like this... well done.

Great job like the sound deadener, my last 4x4 had internal roll cage so I mounted the amp and 2 6x9 4ways in the roof

I was not really chasing the sound deadening affect, more the sealing the floor was the point of the exercise. Once my draw sets go thru I don't want to have to be worrying about the floor after everything is in.

Mate I was wondering what body deadener did you use and how many coats and what was the drying time.
I want to do this to my GQ cab chassis but I can only be off the road for a small amount of time as it's my daily driver.

Its called motorspray. I used 6.5 liters 2 thick coats. Drying time was 5 days with 25-16 degrees ambient temps. With average of 6 hours sun each day.Quote:

Well first stage is complete now I can start building a 4wd now that the ground work is in. Its taken me a few months to run all the cable properly but I have one hell of a base electrical system , next stage solar/third battery/inverter.

I have the same compressor. They are a bit noisy but heat is a bigger issue. Even sitting on the ground they generate a lot of heat. If I were to mount that in a box I would be installing a couple of 120mm fans to keep the temps down. As I noticed mine has a thermal cut out. So when it gets hot, it stops.Quote:
