Nice mate. How big is that tank?

@ Kallen check onboard air for all the different tank sizes,
Available in alloy or steel, multi ports as used for Doof doof cars
Had a very nice 600 x150 alloy 6 port job in other 4x4

Have alook at this, remove all the electrics.
Go to the suppercheap website and have alook at the Blackridge Air Compressor - Direct Drive, 1HP. 8litre tank 80$

Is that 12v or 240 unit? cheap pressure vessel, pressure switch and pressure control valve with reg though for sure!
-
Only cheap if all the bits are low voltage..

With all the bits left after taking the motor and compressor off you have to be in front I reckon. The pressure switch will handle the current through a relay but not the compressor at 12VDC.
Drain, pressure switch, fittings, regulator, gauge and tank for $80 sounds good. Most probably from that cheap manufacturing country but it will do far a while.
Add a 12VDC relay and 12VDC compressor plus a few hoses and fittings could be a winner.
Looks like Silent has used the same stuff in his DIY project here, not sure but looks very similar.

Yea fair call.. cheapest tank I could find is around the $70 mark so yea it is a good option..

That's tidy mate, that's going to get really busy in there as your running all your switching circuits to there as well, you will end up with a mass of wires going in and out.
Consider fitting a fused and insulated positive terminal post inside that box so you can supply each of the relays from within the box rather than running 8 wires to the battery. Or are you just going to run a single positive from relay to relay?

I did a similar thing in the GQ but did it under the centre console and fitted a fuse board into the console. Given all the switches are I. The console it made sense to run a big supply to there and then fuse all the relays close to the switches. Kept the wired out of the engine bay too.
It will get busy! Mine did. Nice planning though mate.

Yep mate thats what goes in the section blank section in the middle. The compressor being on inline fuse is on its own.

My next job is to run another decent gauge line to the rear to make another box. I've already ran a ground so I'll borrow that.

http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...013/06/132.jpg Something similar to this, then a bigger one in the rear.

Those fuse blocks are really good, found them a few years back, best I have seen for this sort of project.
The way you have done this is really clever, tidy, compact and solid

Im just trying to work this out in my head, Does the pressure switch work the same as a rely?? Ie Opens and closes the power out of it depending on the pressure??
Something similar to this horrible drawing i just did?

Spot on.. you have it in the power line between switch and main power relay so it overrides the switch once up to pressure. Then the master switch cuts all power, and the main relay does its stuff..
While my trol is off the road I'm fitting an endless air setup. Unsure if ill run a tank as the pressure and supply capability of the air con pump is insane...
Ill be going a 150psi cutoff, but the pump is capable of 400+ psi and even higher flow, so I should be aired up in under 5 mins.. love it..

This is Image is the best to get an understanding, I've just used a different kind of pressure switch.

The only problem with that wiring diagram is that it is a Switch to Earth (negative switching circuit) and I am not a fan to be honest.
I would be way more inclined to install a positive switching circuit so on a worst case basis you cut supply and there is no way you compressor can find an earth to keep running.
I would put your switch and your pressure switch into 86 for direct control of your relay.
