The above image should have all the basic details of our winches, including pricing and specs.
To provide some additional detail though:
Ironman 4x4 winches are specifically made for Ironman 4x4 in a factory we have a direct relationship with (no these aren't built in Australia). BUT, these are not an off the shelf product from any Chinese factory. Our winches are designed and engineered in Melbourne, Australia (in our Dandenong South HQ) and we tested and proved them out in Cape York before releasing them to the public.
Our winches have a completely custom design including, competition style solenoid, a motor breather (we are the only winch on the market that comes with a breather) and an integrated cut off switch built into the winch (stops cases of winches being shorted and pulling themselves in and removes the need to wire in an isolator). We’ve also integrated some design elements such as a low profile clutch handle to make it easier to fit into some bars (I personally found this a big win when I installed it in my GU series III genuine Nissan Bar), a torch on the wireless remote for those night-time winch sessions, strengthened casings, stronger motors and improved motor and gearbox seals. Plus they look great with the black look!
From personal experience of my 12,000lb with rope, the thing just keeps pulling :D
Let me know if you need any more info or details!
EDIT:
One feature of the winch that is quite interesting and I find both comforting and annoying is that the wireless reciever is a little dome dongle that you plug in to the wired connection point. What this does is provide you with the ability to completely disconnect the wireless controller from the control box (something that I find very re-assuring as there is no risk of the wireless controller activating the winch). But the downside is that you have a little dongle that you either leave on the control box permanently (something you can do, but I prefer not to so people can't knick it) or you need to put on the box every time you want to use the winch (I tend to put it on whenever I head off on a trip and take it off after I've finished) - but this can be a little annoying, especially if you don't plan to use it.
As stated, we use our products and test them in the real world and are constantly improving upon them. Infact I bought the winch before I started working at Ironman 4x4 so the purchase decision for that was one of value, features and a warranty that backs up its products with real world use.
I can attest that Ironman 4 x 4 does answer questions quickly. I sent them a PM late yesterday arvo, EST, and I came home for lunch, and the answer was waiting for me.
Thanks guys.

We try where we can :D
yeh im down with them sent a message and they were straight on it.
Mates son brought and Ironman winch to suit his Mazda Bravo, some little thing went
wrong and Iron Man replaced the winch instead of repairing,
Mates son was of course wrapt
Hey Mate,
That's an interesting one. I've just had a chat to our suspension manager and:
If they leafs on the trailer are 50mm wide? Most trailers are; then we'll have one that matches in width, which is a good start. After that the load plus spring is 310mm long, in order for it to fit you would need the space between the back of the diff/Axel and the shackle or mounting point at the rear of your leafs to be at least 310mm long, ideally longer.
Now we make no guarantees that this will work perfectly without having someone take a look a measure up the suspension, but if it meets the above criteria then I don't foresee you having an issue. Also they should be $125 for the set.
Hey Guys,
Looks like we are going a bit off topic on here now. Mick, how about you start a new thread for people to talk about it in more detail. :D
Cheers!
Yeah or a big green steroid freak will bust you up!!!

Otherwise the next closest distributor would probably be over in the eastern suburbs (in which case you may as well drop into our Dandenong South Head Office.
If your in south east SA or far western Vic I am an Ironman distributor centrally located in Bordertown SA - Bordertrek 4x4 & Fabrication. We supply and install and also modify and fabricate custom gear if required (vehicle sometimes required) I rate Ironmans gear and service very highly and great value for money and we have great treks around here that really put all 4wd gear to the test.
Also if you want any info on tracks around here feel free to pm me.
Regards, Dave

GQ winch bars.... the standard is ARB $1650, im sure you know the design.. what bar would you recommend to go with your winch and why??
I know its a tough one but they are a one off buy. Can you post up some info?
Sent from my GT-I9305T using Motorculture mobile app
Hey Mate,
That's a pretty personal choice as to what style I'd go with, but in my opinion I personally love the deluxe commercial bars ($1260). The deluxe commercial bars have fog lights built into them which can be nice when offroad and I feel add to the look of the bar.
If you're looking for the bare basics of wanting to mount a winch and add your own spotties then the commerical bar is the value choice at $1089.
For a bit more style you can go the protector bar, its the same as the deluxe commercial but with stainless steel hoops. ($1430). I'm personally an advocate for all black bar work (thus why I'd go the deluxe commercial), but some love the look of the stainless.
All those prices are supplied, fitted would be extra. All the bars are winch compatible and airbag tested and certified. Personally I don't think you can go too wrong with any of the bars. It's just a matter of whether you'd like fog lights in the bar and also whether you'd prefer black tubing or stainless.
Hope that's of some help. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hey Kev,
So I've just heard back from our National Sales Manager. Someone else from Ironman 4x4 is going to contact you soon to organise the details, but I wanted to personally let you know we are going to replace the bar for you.
Cheers,

Ironman 4x4
Unfortunately the LoadPlus wouldn't fit between the chassis and the spring.
My leaf spring are short and the load plus a little too long.
Returned them to Extreme 4x4 and refunded, no questions asked.
Extreme 4x4 helped with some info on where to go and who to see in regards to replacing the leaf springs. All done and fitted.
Again thanks for your assistance.
