this vehicle has a defect notice because a cracked windscreen and oil leak out of the sump plug that is all as far as I know about the vehicle

Now my question is IF the car is in good condition otherwise would get it inspected and came back ok except for these things would you by one with a defect notice??
Would pay to get an inspection done if you were serious? ?
Way too many things to go wrong with a 4x4, and none of them are cheap to repair
Buy your 4x4 with a RWC and if possible warranty , for a bit of peace of mind

In WA we don't have RWC that come with the vehicles coppers chuck a yellow sticker on if they deem its unroadworthy and its up to you to get it over the pits and cleared by a mechanic.

Trust me, the vehicle examiners don't just look at the stuff that's on the yellow sticker.
They start their from the front number plate and work their way back to the back tow ball. Have a REALLY GOOD LOOK at the link.

Id tell the seller that if they fix the defects and get it passed then I'll buy it. Here in tas if a vehicle has a defect sticker, only the things mentioned on the defect sticker have to be fixed to get the sticker removed. But yeah, it's different in each state when it comes to these things.
I know in vic depending weather its a minor or major defect you can just fix the items and then take it to the RTA or you will need to present a RWC to the RTA so you can keep your rego.
Personally i'd try and get it dirt cheap so if you have to spend some money repairing the car so if you had to sell it you will at a minimum get your money back.

You would have thought that if it was a dealer selling the vehicle, that they would get the canary taken off before selling. Surely in their interest to do so............ Where abouts is it located?

I may be reading into this to much but, the ad states its a 03 GUIII however a GUIV is pictured, some of the other info is incorrect ie 17" rims in pic but 16" rims listed under the wheels section.
As I said I may be reading into it way to much, but I am a fussy bastard when it comes to the accuracy of info.

Yeah that's the one seems a dodgy though honestly talking to a few mates they seem to think the car yard has to fix the issues and get it passed the rta. I think I'll leave it alone.

Good choice my friend,if it was a easy fix i they would be doing it.Could always ask them to put it over or you could take it for as test drive and put it over yourself and if nothing major talk seriously with them.
Just skimmed through the thread, so not sure if it has been said. But a vehicle cannot be sold while it has a defect notice listed. It's even written on the back of the sticker/notice.
