Been advised to Re-torque head and put Genuine H/Gasket
I recently did a rebuilt on my motor and the its now heating up in long runs and not in short runs. There was no bubbles on radiator before but now when the radiator is topped up it starts throwing bubbles up and puts water into the reserve tank. but when certain amount of water goes off the radiator it stops throwing water into reserve tank and doesnt lose more water from radiator (just about 1L short of making radiator top up). I used a non-genuine head gasket during rebuild which i already had before rebuilt was done. Now my mechanic says to put a genuine head gasket in and will re-torque head. Any idea whats the torque of head bolts on TD42?? Another friend suggests me to use Chemweld to solve my problem...anyone used these before?? The Radiator shop guy told me that it can block my radiator..

From memory I have seen normal running temp around 104-110 degrees but that was on my motor bike and I could see the actual temp on the dash. Because the cooling is under pressure it can go above normal boiling point. It just when you break that pressure the coolant will instantly boil
Just tap it in just tappy tappy tappy
