Ok so starting to pit together a list of things I'd like to see in this gu..
One of the things are the gauges..
what I'm after is how are people finding the 2 in 1 gauges?
From pics of say the egt and boost gauge the increments are very fine and the difference from say 450 degrees to 550 or 10 psi to 15 psi is a couple of needle thicknesses..
Are they difficult to glance at to see what's going on and if you bought the 2 in 1 gauges do you wish you'd bought seperate or are you happy? ?
Have a look at McNally gauges. I use their boost and egt gauge in a single cup in between the speedo and tacho. Easy to read too.
I chose to go with 2 in 1 gauges & am very pleased with them. Clarity & ease of reading was high on my priority list, as was trying not to clutter up the limited real estate in the GU cab any more than necessary. The EGT/boost gauge shows the boost in digital figures at the bottom & the EGT on the ‘analogue’ gauge which is large enough to easily read at a glance. The water temp & oil pressure gauge has an ‘analogue’ scale on either side of the gauge for each & is also easy to read. It also has an option for another temp reading if wanted, presented as a digital readout at the bottom of the gauge, but I didn’t bother with that, thinking it might make things a bit too ‘busy’. Colour & contrast can be adjusted to suit. Not cheap but I haven’t seen better. Better in reality than in the photo as there is more contrast between the ‘needle’ & the face than the photo shows.

Do you mean the red line Winnie? If so, no you can’t, but you can set the alarms wherever you want. They are both audible & visual (beeps & background changes to a pre-set colour).Quote:

I think there is too much going on in 2 in 1 gauges for see whats happening at a quick glance as you point out.
VDO do a great gauge ,very easy to read as well. I have speco white face and find them easy as well.

Plenty of pods that sit on top the dash too.
Redarc are just Autron copies

No they aren't, they ARE Autron gauges. Redarc bought Autron, or at least their gauges division.Quote:
