Just went out to the shed and started mine up..poor thing should be on blocks, only did 26km in the last month....was thinking about taking it for a drive but it's raining..
put new plates on mrs possums car this week,to match mine.
I was gonna jump in mine and take it for a spin, tinker with boost control a bit more and possibly head over to Mudskis, but walked out looked at it and walked back inside.
yeah but no point getting it wet if your not going to get it dirty...
Pulled the window tint off the front window. The guy that I bought the Patrol off thought that it looked cool (yep, he was right!), and its great while driving during the day, but totally illegal and a big P.I.T.A. at night.
Was actually bracing myself for a whole world of pain getting it off, but it came off really easy and didnt leave any glue behind. Only took about 45mins all up.
Method used was :
1. spray entire window with windex (make sure that its the one that says not to use on window tint!)
2. cover entire window with a large black plastic garbage bad to keep the windex from evaporating and get some free heat from the sun
3. park in the sun and leave for 30mins.
It is actually quite wintery here today so I gave it a bit of help from a heat gun on the outside of the window
4. peel back slowly from one corner, dont pull too fast or jerk it or you'll leave glue behind
5. drink a beer to celebrate a job well done!!!!
Many thanks to Mudski! Took the car around to his place and he tampered with the needle valve and we both took it for a spin and shes back to normal now. Very happy jan! Lets just see how long it stays this way ...
No problems Eric. Lets hope she stays good.
As for me. Finished off extending the Ferrets rear light bracket.
Attachment 45027
Then I decided to drill some holes...
Attachment 45028
Keep them guessing Mark
Reinforcing the rear door where it cracked.
Wasn't difficult to tell considering the bloody big crack and the fact you've just bought a set of 35s and were modifying the light bracket etcetera etcetera etcetera
So Mudski what actually caused the crack in the door?
The GU badge.
Todays the day I start the welding, grinding, bogging, painting etc etc. Kinda nervous that it won't turn out and will turn to shite, but I have done the drilling so its no turning back...
All welded up, grinded back and having a beer waiting for the bog to dry. ..
Did you disconnect the batteries.
Installed my new 28 smd led roof lights.
:-o I can see....
Get a tig set up. Easier to use, puts less heat into the work, cleaner weld, excellent strength and uses less gas.
Hoping my sender unit is going to be ok for the aux tank!
Being testing it for half an hour now, it definitely reads resistance when moving the float but It's not steady, jumps around and sometimes goes back to the original reading from when float is at bottom although float is at top.
All connections seem fine and is clean on the sender slider reading thinngy, not bent and actually looks in pretty good condition but it worries me.
Not sure what to do as it does read changes in float movement....Bugger!!!!
I'm thinking about getting a new one just because... While it's out
Where are the next pics Mudski? Came back tonight to see what it was, now after being told it's obvious, but love to see how it comes up ...
