No worries mudnut. Glad we can help.
Didn't mean to hijack your assistance Toddie. Just saw an easier alternative.
Cheers,

Just a note for everyone.
WinZip is no longer free. You can get a 30 day free trial version but to use all of the features, you have to buy it. http://www.winzip.com/win/en/landing...n.html#sub-nav
WinRAR on the other hand is free. and will do the same thing as winzip. http://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0
If you just want to compress files or folders into a single "ZIP" file, then Windows 7 and Windows 8 has native support for this function. You don't need to install WinZip or WinRAR. All you have to do is right click on the file or folder you wish to compress and choose "Send to>Compressed (zipped) Folder" from the menu. You can also unpack zipped files and folders this way.

Rob
Just go to oldapps.com and get the older version of your favorite program...I still use a version back from 2005 or there abouts. Albeit a cracked full version. I find a lot of new software is bloated with adds, and programs that will want to instal without your knowing, or consent.
Like uTorrent. They are up to 3.4.2. I'm still on 1.82 from 10 years ago.

Be careful mudski. These sites often repackage programs and you think you are installing a particular application but they often hide malware (and other nasties) within the installer and you wont know anything about it.
I would not trust any application unless it comes directly from the vendor.
As Rosco says "Take care out there"

Yes some sites do. Though any half decent A/V program will pick this up. Also most of the vendor sites these days have hidden adds and unwanted extras that will also install with their program because they get paid from other sites for this. Many novices will get caught out with this when installing as they will just click o.k for everything during the installation process without reading first. Having said that one needs to be careful from any site. I have used oldapps for many programs and never had an issue, but there is a first time for everything they say.
I need to be spoonfed. I tried using the send to compressed program, pressed the extract all button and said yes to copy the file ( freetronics)and pressed Extract and nothing happened.
If you have Winzip installed you should see some very similar to this when you right click on the file you need to uncompress. The three above Winzip are the Winrar program. Winzip will have the small black arrow to the right of Winzip, Hover your cursor over that and then the second window will appear, like in the picture. If you select extract to, it will then ask you where you want to extract the files, e.g to your desktop Or you can extract them into the same folder where the zipped file is. There is other options as you can see but they are the two easiest options.

Thanks, dude. I uninstalled the winzip. I have tried following rkinseys emailed advice and failed. I am abandoning the idea atm as I have a horrible skull ache (flu related). Will try again tomorrow or the next day, or the one after.
Righto mudnut. Time for some magic. All you needed to do with the file I sent you was to rename it to an EXE extension and then run the file but obviously something else is going on that you cant work out or is stopping you from extracting the files.
So, what are you doing tomorrow say around the 9pm mark? If you are online I can remote control your PC and take a look.
I will email you my mobile number and we can discuss it tomorrow.
Cheers,
Rob
