Installed a higher performance fan than arrived home with after the trip into Burgoynes Gap crossing the McAlister River. The new one is an 8 blade genuine Toyota 3F motor fan, to replace the 7 blade after market Toyota 1HZ fan. 3F unit feels heavier and tougher.Attachment 73592
Finished the pre straAttachment 73593Attachment 73594iner for the fuel tanks to take out the scale and rusty bits before they hit the booster pump and its pre filter. The strainer has a 100 micron filter screen, its a Scintex unit, cost $89 off ebay. Its fitted with a 12V heater band, 100w, for use one our snow trips only to stop the wax congealing, - yes even the fuel conditioner didn't help this last time. It mounts up under the floorpan between the two fuel tanks.
Adjusted the rear view mirror and it ended up on the floor , bugger !
