Cheers guys.
The km2 M/T is what your talking about yeah?
Ive heard good things from these, but what else do people run. Was thinking of coppers, but after BAs trouble maybe not. Federals, Mickey's anyone tried Achilles?
Nittos or toyos.
I'm pulling out the radiator next week to replace the top tank, while mucking around in the shed I found a couple of temp gauges.

Attachment 63836
Problem is that I could only find one sender.
I tried to test by running a wire from the gauge to the sender and dripping the sender in a pot of boiling water. Nothing.
Is there any other way to test before I go and buy a new one.
When putting in a top hose adapter for a temp gauge what is the best position to have the sender. Wouldn't it be more accurate if the sender was facing down.
Would prefer to drill and tap into the housing, has any done this with a tb45?

Can anyone tell me what is this, can it be removed?
I know the td42 runs the temp sensor and the glow plug water temp from the thermostat housing, it's to shut the glows off once engine temp is up to a set amount..
Does the tb have a "choke" on it?? Maybe a similar situation?
Cant you run an Ecu-Talk instead of running guages ??
I worked out that it's the ECU temp sender. Found a thread here from 2012.
If not using gauges I would rather use something like this.

Need to look into it a bit more.
Still would like to know where ppl have drill and tapped into the thermostat housing, or if they run the adapter with the sender facing down.
Would this work. Can run both factory and aftermarket sender, both before the thermostat.

Would there be enough room for the coolant to freely move around?
