Clutch fluid will get done when they swap my clutch over in a few weeks time hopefully. Brake fluid I don't dare touch, to be honest... It's the stuff that brings these 2.8 tonnes to a halt lol.


Quick one for ya... Does engine oil need to be dropped when water pump is being replaced? I guess not, since it'll be siting in the sump. But thought I'd ask. I'll be doing that too this weekend, would hate to do it only for them to re-do it when they do the pump.

No only coolant dropped to do the water pump.

This is the one I have and I haven't broken it yet and that's using 4' of pipe on 3/4 gear undoing suspension bolts etc. so it's had a pretty hard time.

Hey Eric just catching up on your thread. Are you doing a big 100,000km service? Is your clutch done at 100,000kms!!!! Wow! My GUIV has 260,000kms on it now, I bought it at 94,000. Still has the original Clutch. Only in the last couple of months have I thought it might be coming to an end. 100k seems crazy!! Be interested to see what it looks like when it comes out??

How much are they charging you to do the clutch? What was the TT Clutch worth?

Whats the yellow thing sitting under your coils?

Its like a neoprhrene hat/base/ spacer they come in many sizes I have the 15mm ones
Im yet to fit mine yet, might see when the northern boys are free if they could give me a hand .

@ Eric hope non of this corrosion will cause any electric problems later on.?
Ive seen looms with salt damage 700mm plus into the loom

As TD said mate it just to help raise the front a little bit ... They come in 10mm and onwards in sizes...
